I did. And just like real tomato soup I was full, had a warm belly, and ready for a delightful nap afterwards. But I also had no dishes to wash. Double points!

Thoughts on the packaging?

Very nice. Super clean and fresh with the vegetables exploding out at me. It looks like I can touch the dew on the tomatoes. Man being a food photographer would be fun. “Umm, Steve. Can I get another light misting on tomato two. And make sure the glare on that basil piece isn’t too overwhelming ok? Why is the intern eating the models?”  It also has a nice “all natural” seal stamped on there telling me it’s healthier than a Twinkie.

Grilled cheese. ‘Nuff said.

Where were you when you ate this snack?

Well I was curled up by a roaring fire reading a good romance novel while the snow slowly blanketed the outside world. In my head at least. I might have just been in my office lighting matches and reading LOL cats. Probably that. I love LOL cats.

Boxes and boxes and boxes of these have been consumed prior to this review.

Would you buy it again?

It’s consistently on my weekly shopping list and has been forever.

Did taste like it looks?

It tastes like sucking on a stick of pure cinnamon while kayaking through a river of sugary frosting while laughing and absorbing the sunshine. So yes.

Milk. Somehow, in some crazy messed up universe I live in I actually prefer drinking milk with these to any Oreo or chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had. I’m screwed in the head I think.

Best place to eat to this snack?

Literally anywhere. I would eat this on my death-bed while the doctor told me I can never eat sugar again because of my severe diabetes. I’d have to interrupt him to grab some of these out of my bed to snack on while listening intently.

Brilliant.  Really set the industry on its ear with this one.  Its almost like…art.

In bed, duh!  Just kidding, gross, butter and crumbs in bed.  I don’t know, maybe after getting back from a ride on your friend’s BMX’s back pegs or even handle-bars after hitting your local public pool?

Straight back to 1953! Actually, now that I think about it, it may have just been a Cracker Barrel. Well, I guess that is the same thing.

Absolutely love the throwback to the old classic. Felt like I was eating an antique. It’s good thing to know that the prizes still suck at 50 years though.

It’s so quintessential and low-brow that it is high-brow. Think about it.

Baseball game. Duh. Except the part where baseball is boring and sucks. So I’m gonna go with Jonas Brothers concert on this one.

Some random hotel in I’mNotSure, Texas. Took the picture on top of a microwave in my room. Super classy.

Pros and cons?

Pros: Most bang for your buck.  But when did candy bars hit the $.99 mark???  Cons: Triple packaged!!  I know I’m not the only person to have almost eaten one with the paper wrapper still on it!

Would you buy it again?

More like buy stock in it.  Blue chip of snacks.

Where WASN’T I?  Pretty much everywhere I’ve EVER been in life.  I’ve eaten a lot of Mambas in my day.

Like Levi’s 501’s it someone exists between both worlds perfectly.

That’s a lot of taffy hanging in the stomach, but yeah, I did.  Come on, like you really think you’re “just going to save the Raspberry for later.”

Love the simple white and purple. Still trying to figure out the Stonehenge looking oatmeal cookies dancing on the bottom though. Help me out. What am I missing? Balanced part of my diet?? Is Kashi super excited about Portal 2 coming this holiday season like I am also. Is that cookie traveling through blue and out of orange. Hey Steam, check me!

Who would like it better Sam-I-Am or Unnamed second character?

Well I’m no psychic but I’m gonna say that Unnamed second character would be very adamant about not trying it because of his preconceived notions about oatmeal raisin cookies and maybe a bad memory from his childhood. But in the end Sam-I-Am (who we all know is quite rhythmic and convincing) would get unnamed second character to LOVE this bar and they would probably like it equally in The End.

It actually paired quite nicely with the water I was drinking. Kind of had that “I’m still healthy cause I’m made by Kashi, even though I taste like a delicious cookie, so you should stick with some healthy H20″ kinda vibe going on.

Laying on my bedroom floor listening to Tycho and drinking Boxed Water. Just an average Sunday night for an up and coming ultra internet celebrity. I’m sure Kevin Rose does the same thing on Sunday nights. Only cause he is trying super hard to be me. Poor kid. You’ll be big someday.

Best place to eat to this snack?

Honestly – I’m thinking some Myan ruins deep, deep in the jungles of Mexico.  While on an expedition of some sort?  With maybe an Indiana Jones kind of theme going on?  Maybe?  Or just my office is cool really.

Thoughts on the packaging?

You know – its weird.  It truly is a fat syringe looking device that has a screen type thing where the candy comes out creating a pasta kind of effect.  So its a bit weird, but so is the candy – so…well done on their part I’d say.

What kind of store did you find it at?

Actually, fun fact: you used to be able to get this at a lot of Walgreens.  But I haven’t seen it there in a year or so.  You’ll have to head South of the border or hit your local Mexican markets.

Did taste like it looks?

Thank goodness no.  It really just doesn’t look good, no way around it. I suppose until you find out how good it tastes.  Its kind of like: “She is…she’s just…she has a really GREAT personality.”

Yes.  I certainly did.  Actually, the seasoned Pelon Pelo Rico eaters know the trick of getting the extra bits out of it even after you think its finished.  Requires a butter knife.

BONUS QUESTION: Why is there a French coin next to this Mexican candy?

Great question.  Really great question.  A friend gave it to me – said it was a Peso.  We figured it’d play well with the Mexican theme.  I never looked to confirm this.  Even while shooting it in our little studio setup.  Then we figured it’d be kind of funny to keep it in there…more so because I ate the whole thing and we didn’t have another one to shoot.  Ha.

Many many many bags before I wrote this review. And maybe even the actual bag because I don’t see if in my trash. I’m gonna Google what those are made out of real quick….

What kind of store did you find it at?

Luckily there is no trekking across town to find a bag of these. Any gas station worth their salt has these on hand all the time. Most of the time you can find big party bags of these at grocery stores also. Supply and demand. I demand that every store supplies these and some of them do. They listen to me. Sometimes.

Maybe it’s just because of my opening paragraph but I feel like a Pina Colada or Margarita of some kind would pair well with this. I generally go a little more high brow and pair it with a sleeve of little powdered donuts, teriyaki beef jerky, and some Mountain Dew. (check the twitter, I’m not kidding) But not everyone lives the high life like I do.

Best place to eat to this snack?

Beach snack for sure. You can soak up the sun and munch these all day. I often enjoy them in my windowless office while imagining I’m at a beach. I strip down to my boxers and cover my floor in sand and just kind of lay there on my office floor for hours eating these. I’m thinking about getting a coy pond installed. Not a lot of people come and visit me at my office strangely though. Maybe after the tanning bed comes I’ll have more friends…

Almost.  But I’m finished it here at my office right now – actually had it for breakfast this morning too.

Who would like it better myself or Adam?

Honestly, I think Adam might like this more than I do – maybe.  He’s got that hiker kind of vibe a little, drives a Jetta, wants a rack on it, wants a Subaru, wears a cycling cap when not cycling, etc.  You know, granola-y things.  (Haha, sorry Adam, joking, joking.)   But, I didn’t give him any so I guess we’ll never know.

Toasty.  Don’t know, just tasted nice and toasty to me.  Not like actual bread-toast, but more like, toasted oats.

I think it could use a little work – doesn’t quite look as good as it tastes.

The first time?  In my bed watching Hulu.  Not as bad as crackers – but hindsight being 20/20, I wouldn’t do it again.

Again, used to only be at wine shops around town here, occasionally at the grocery store, but mostly more gourmet spots – this time I found at a BP gas station.

They call them linens Ben…linens.  Not “napkins”, this isn’t a “shin-dig”…its a nice dinner.  See, they have like 17 different forks at each setting…thats how you know its nice.  Tuck your shirt in.

Somewhere its acceptable to have your pinky poking out as you enjoy each thin little crisp.
