For true corner-store kings, bodega-ballers, and snack-sultans…this is the go-to. Been around forever, long lasting, without question the most bang for your buck, and tht nice subtle flavor. I mean, what is it? Twice what you get with Starbursts? Even its not, it FEELS like its twice. Mambas are truly my when-in-doubt-on-a-road-trip-and-I-only-have-like-2-minutes-to-pick-something-instead-of-my-usual-20-minutes-of-contemplating-which-snack-best-fits-the-mood-of-the-new-mixtape-I-made-for-the-drive-to-Chicago choice. Who else is with me? Plus I love a little gamble every once in a while and I don’t know of any other snacks that randomly select only 3 of their 4 available flavors to throw in the package.
Pros: Most bang for your buck. But when did candy bars hit the $.99 mark??? Cons: Triple packaged!! I know I’m not the only person to have almost eaten one with the paper wrapper still on it!
More like buy stock in it. Blue chip of snacks.
Where WASN’T I? Pretty much everywhere I’ve EVER been in life. I’ve eaten a lot of Mambas in my day.
Like Levi’s 501’s it someone exists between both worlds perfectly.
That’s a lot of taffy hanging in the stomach, but yeah, I did. Come on, like you really think you’re “just going to save the Raspberry for later.”
I don’t really get into candy unless I’m major blazered, but I always lurve Mambas.
(Please don’t read this one, Dad. I don’t smoke weed.)
i just want to say how creepy it is that my thoughts are exactly the same on mambas. i too am a snack fanatic and I too sit for 20 minutes contemplating which candy i feel i should buy that day. thanks for an awesome blog!!!
btw you should try some candy (if you haven’t already) that is huge in hawaii called ‘li hi mui’. its a powder that they put on different kinds of candy like sour patch kids. :]
