Clif Kid Organic Twisted Fruit: Strawberry!!

Clif Kid Organic Twisted Fruit: Strawberry!! Adam ate this on April 7, 2010

Ok I’m going right in on this guy. First of all I have never had a fruit snack (much less an “organic” one) where I open it and immediately started to salivate. It smells exactly like popping open a fresh container of strawberry preserves (not jelly, we are talking grandmas secret stash here) And then there is the actual flavor. It may look like a Twizzlers jelly cousin but it’s flavor is closer to actually just eating a spoonful of fresh jam than any kind of processed wannabe flavor. I would legitimately put 5 of these on a piece of bread with peanut butter and go to town. In fact I’m going shopping right after this review. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Would you buy it again?

Absolutely. It is so much more efficient than slurping jelly out of those little packets you get at diners. And much easier to carry around. And you don’t get banned from said diners for repeatedly stealing them.

What kind of store did you find it at?

This is a health store snack for sure. You’ll find it right between sesame seaweed paste (for hangovers) and organic processed 100% natural from concentrate guava nectar. Which is below the Nag Champa and above the Yerba Mate. Good luck.

Stand-alone snack or with something else?

Peanut butter! Peanut butter crackers + these = somehow more awesome than actual PB&J. Or like I said before, just toss a couple of these guys on some PB and go to work.

Sum up your experience eating this snack in one word.

Jelly-y.

Best place to eat to this snack?

Hiking in the rockies while wearing Chacos and slurping out of a Camelbak. Or if you are actually a kid: watching Yo Gabba Gabba in the back of mom’s Sienna.

My kids LOVE these… too bad they cost like $2 a pop at the gym. Beats the low blood sugar blues!

But the real question is: do they watch Yo Gabba Gabba while consuming these like I do?

This delectable treat can’t only be for youngsters… The small bite I had in your office made my mouth water and my eyes widen.
