The packaging on these states that they are “new!” but a seasoned snacker like myself might remember seeing these about 2 summers ago under a different name. I don’t care what they’re named – this is one of my absolute favorite candies ever. It’s a bit of guilty pleasure honestly. It’s super intense. Basically a classic licorice rope (think arcades / roller rinks) with a liquid sweet-tart-esque filling. Yeah, wow, lot going on flavor wise. Not exactly something you pair with a nice white wine – actually, I would – but whatever, its a amazingly flavored. Super intense, but not sour, I love the licorice’s consistency, the filling isn’t gooey/drippy, just right. If you consider candy that would wire a 5 year old for about 3 days. The name is pretty funny but the tag line is hilarious: “Delickoricious Chewy Candy”. Well done, well done. I believe there is another flavor of these as well that’s yellow. We’ll find it and review it soon. Note: I finished this candy before I finished writing this paragraph.
“Yes!” I have a serious sweet-tooth and this hits the spot on a “now THIS is candy scale” its certainly a 10.
This is definitely a corner-store, gas station, pharmacy kind of candy. Which is also a great place to find me.
I really find it to be a stand-alone snack. It’s intense. I don’t know though, maybe a nice vintage of Kool-Aid?
I think they could do a slightly better job maybe showing the product itself better – its a cool looking candy actually. But the packaging matches the flavor for sure.
This is the kind of candy that makes me want to make up a Tax ID so I can get a wholesale account.
